Lamborghini has revived the Countach, an iconic car produced from 1974 to 1990. The new 2021 model, the Countach LPI 800-4, has a V12 engine just like the original, but adds a hybrid drive-train and a sleeker design.
While the design of the Countach LPI 800-4 looks very modern, it also stays true to its heritage, keeping a very similar shape and design. For example, Lamborghini preserved the square front headlights and air intake shape. I really like the design of the new Countach. The interior design is more similar to that of current Lamborghini designs. The designers found the perfect balance of keeping the design similar to modern Lamborghinis while also bringing iconic elements over from the original Countach.
The design is the not the only special aspect of this vehicle. The Countach LPI 800-4 has a 6.5-liter V-12 engine paired with an electric motor. Both combined can produce 802 horsepower and bring the supercar from 0-62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. According to Lamborghini, the car reaches a top speed of 221 mph!
Check out the new Countach in the gallery below! I will certainly use some of these photos as wallpapers.
